All of us have different reasons to search for methods that help to wake up early. Students would like to know how to wake up early to study, people who are looking to lose weight or stay fit, might want to know how to wake up early to exercise or go on a morning walk etc.
Whatever might be your reason, this article will provide you with excellent tips on how to wake up early and make it a habit for life.
Tip # 1
Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise'. This adage is quite popular, but many of us fail to follow the huge wisdom concealed in it. Adjusting your bedtime a bit earlier than usual can be the most easiest way to waking up early.
Tip # 2
You need to make sure that you are not spending your time in bed waiting for sleep, throughout the night. You need to recognize and accept the fact that waking up early is possible only if your body and mind have been refreshed by adequate sleep at night.
Many of us are habituated to drinking coffee, tea or maybe smoking cigarettes just before retiring to bed. If you too are habituated to any of these stuffs, then watch out; as it may interfere with your sleep, and you may find yourself wasting the night tossing and turning in bed. If you succeed in getting rid of such habits, then waking up early in the morning is not going to be a problem for you anymore.
Tip # 3
Stop trying to postpone waking up and leaving your warm bed, by pressing the snooze button of your alarm clock repeatedly. An extra 5 or 15 minutes are not going to refresh you, if you could not sleep throughout the entire night.
Kicking this habit of pressing the snooze button is often quite agonizing. Especially if the weather outside is chilly or damp and all you want to do is cling to your warm blanket for dear life. But remember good habits like waking up early need a certain amount of discipline, so steer clear of that devilish snooze button.
Tip # 4
Avoid eating high protein food for dinner, especially if you have the habit f eating your dinner and immediately jumping in to bed. Proteins take a long time to get digested, and often create a sense of bloating, discomfort and flatulence. In addition, making your dinner highly concentrated in proteins is proved to be linked to nightmares and other sleep disturbances too.
If your sleep is disturbed at night, your dreams of waking up early in the morning are going to be squashed right away. So keep your dinner meals light and easy to digest, and also avoid eating at least 2 hours before bedtime.
